In just a few weeks, Angelica will head back to Winston-Salem, NC for the encore of The Sting of White Roses at the prestigious biannual National Black Theatre Festival. With over 40 shows listed on the bill, expecting more than 60,000 attendees, The Sting of White Roses was chosen as one out of the Top 10 shows to see. Don't miss this historical, star-studded event! Out of 170 submissions, Gun & Powder was chosen to participate in the SigWorks Lab at the Signature Theatre! This summer Angelica and her collaborator, composer Ross Baum, will spend two weeks workshopping their show, under the direction of Signature Theatre's Director of New Works Joe Calarco and a cast of actors and a musical director. Out of 500 applications to the 2017 Bay Area Playwright's Festival, Berta, Berta was one of 25 finalists and the only play selected to participate in the Rough Readings Series at Playwright's Foundation. Angelica got to work with the legendary director Steven Anthony Jones and phenomenal actors Tobie Windham and Dawn Troupe-Masi on two staged readings of the play, which received rave reviews from both audiences. This past April, Angelica and her collaborator Ross Baum were invited to work on Gun & Powder in the inaugural group of the Barnett Residency. They spent a week in a picturesque barn in gorgeous Upstate New York writing new songs, bonding with their peers and of course, finding inspiration in the "Wide Open Plains".

Derailed has been selected as one of five semi-finalists for the Showtime Tony Cox Episodic Screenplay Competition in the 2017 Nantucket Film Festival!!! Here's hoping that Angelica makes it all the way! Read more about it here.
A Letter to Auntie Rosa was performed yesterday for 300 students in NYC. Way to go Diverging Elements and RANGE a cappella!!! Performed by Betty Etheredge, Olivia Gjurich, Jeremiah Haley and Angela Travino.
